I went around my neighborhood and asked people with the flowers still heathy if I can take pictures this main one ended up being on the other side of the neighborhood. Shutter Speed- 1/320 Aperture- F8.0 ISO- 200 This week I chose nature because it was easier to focus in on one object and make the flower pop out compared to the background.
The only editing I made to the photo was a cropped it a little bit to make the flower fill the frame and eliminate other distractions. This week I learned that it is going to take some time and you may have to go out of your way to get the best pictures these pictures came from other peoples landscape that were still healthy before the cold weather.

In this assignment we had to take a photo of a car and retouch it. We had to clear the background and tint the window-shield to a darker shade. We also had to make some f the spotlight on the car disappear by coloring it with red the color of the car. The car on top is my edited photo and the bottom is the demo. This last picture was what we had to do by making one completely on our own. I chose a different background and made the window-shield really dark. From this assignment I learned how to clear the background and just touch things up on my car. Making sure to pay attention to details so I can make my photo best as can be.
Shutter Speed- 1/80 Aperture- F4.5 ISO- 800 This week I choose black and white, but originally I was going to choose nature but wanted to wait for the leaves to change. I have a really good looking rock patch under and around my deck and that is what I used for my black and white.
The only editing I did to my picture was adjusting the looks of the black and white filter. Making some pictures look darker and make some pictures look lighter. I learned that you need to make your photo as best as possible when it come to looks and what could make this photo better. When taking my original picture (nature) I looked at it and thought if the leaves were different colors it would look a lot better. When taking black and white I needed to take a picture with both light and dark shades for the picture to look good in black and white. We had to go into photo booth and take a normal picture of ourselves. After that we had to go into photoshop, crop the picture into a squarish shape, edit the photo to get that same photo four times in one frame. Finally add the correct color to each photo. I learned that I can crop my pictures to take out any distracting background or to get it a certain shape. I also learned the cycle on how to to add color to my photos and also get four of the same photo into one picture.
For this week I plan on doing Nature. I am hoping to get better at capturing the main focus of my picture without any distractions in the background that can be misleading. Some photos that I am using as inspiration! I think these are great examples and I want to try and copy the idea of these pictures because I live by a river with a fall and great background that could be a great picture.
Shutter Speed- 1/500 Aperture- F3.5 ISO- 1800 For this week I choose to focus on animals. I took 56 photos of my dog around the house with and without her favorite thing, the tennis ball.
I did not do any editing to my photo. I learned patience and that it takes a little bit of time to get the perfect photo. Macy my dog was a little hard to get because she did not like looking into the camera. The good news is that I managed to get a lot of really good pictures of her that truly represents her personality. For my first photo shooting assignment I will be focusing on the subject of animals. I hope to get better at setting up the photo and making sure that my subject is the main part of the picture and that there is no distractions going on in the background. Some photos I found online that I will be using as inspiration! I think these are great examples because they capture a clear shot of the dog and the background is not distracting. The first thing that draws your attention is the dog.
Shutter Speed With this shutter speed example I was trying to show how it captures the lowest shutter speed to the highest shutter speed. and the highest shutter speed which is picture #4 was the best and the worst was the lowest shutter speed which was picture #1. The quicker the shutter speed the better picture you will get because it takes the picture really fast and freezes the image. Aperture
Fast shutter speed does what to an image- Having fast shutter speed freezes the image and allows less light.
Slow shutter speed shows what effect to an image- Having slower shutter speed lets lots of light through and the image is blurry. Large aperture shows what effect on an image- The larger the aperture the more light is able to pass through and the larger the the number the larger the depth of field. Small aperture shows what effect to an image- The smaller the aperture the less light is able to pass through and the smaller the depth of field is. For this assignment we had to take notes on all the different types of pictures. We had to walk around the school and take all of the required photos and then come back, create a blog, and upload all of our pictures to our blog. Texture Symmetry Rule Of Thirds Patterns Lines Depth If Field Colors Balence Perspective Space Framing From this assignment I learned how important it is to set up your picture and making sure the angle and what the are taking a picture was correct. I also learned that you can't just take a picture of something cool for it to look the best you have to take your time and figure out what you are really trying to capture. My favorite picture was the balance photo because the pond right behind the big tree looked really good.
